DOTSON, Dewey J. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Veedersburg - Dewey J. Dotson, 81, of 710 Park Row, Veedersburg, died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Ill. Mr. Dotson had retired in 1958 from Chicago & Eastern Illinois Railroad at Danville, Ill. He was a 20 year resident of Veedersburg. He was born June 11, 1898, in Indiana, a son of Joseph and Julia Barker Dotson. He was married at Covington in 1937 to the former Dorothy Hayman, who died in 1969. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Rachael Myers of Attica; a brother, Arthur Dotson of Attica; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Parham Funeral Home at Veedersburg with the Rev. William Ringgold officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
